THE BIODYNAMIC METHOD
Inspired by the teachings of Rudolf Steiner in his fascinating course for farmers in 1924.
This method prohibits any use of chemicals, herbicides and synthetic fertilisers. The vines are treated with vegetable, animal or mineral substances in a logic that leads back to homeopathy.
Specific preparations for this method are boosted to increase the vitality of soils and plants, treat diseased land or to strengthen plant resistance.
Rudolf Steiner points out that in evolution, vegetation has remained in a primitive stage and human kind has broken away from cosmic rhythms, making the plants considerably more sensitive. Also, biodynamics reintroduces respect for cosmic rhythms, those of the moon, the planets, the solar system and the constellations which surround it.
With its coherent action on soil and plants, biodynamics promotes a holistic, harmonious healthy environment in which vines thrive. We sometimes see spectacular results in nutritional qualities, colour, aromatic intensity and minerality in our wines.
Convinced by the quality of the results, the majority of our vineyard plots are now cultivated bio-dynamically, certified Demeter since 2018.
Our bio-dynamically produced wines are easily recognisable by their Demeter label. The Demeter Label is an international certification and is the strictest of the Bio labels.
